Project abstract

String-a-Nette, second version, is a virtual puppet that can be controlled by the user via a camera to move around or a mouse to be posed. Different hand gestures can change the properties of the puppet for different kinds of interaction. Due to traditional puppeteering being less practiced and more difficult, I aspire to make this as a way for people to be interested in string puppets. The puppet is “made” similar to a ball jointed doll so each joint is able to move separately and mimics the human body.
